Since 2018, we’ve made it happen—and we’re going to do it again!
Himmelblå Brygge aims to double the population of Ylvingen this summer as well.
After several eventful seasons filled with amazing volunteers and great memories, we are once again inviting you to join us next summer.
We want to create a great working and social environment on Ylvingen, and we’re therefore looking for people who would like to get to know us at Himmelblå Brygge and our sister company, SeilNorge.
If you’d like to work with food and tourism while also having the opportunity to kayak, dive, learn colorful Northern Norwegian expressions, sail traditional boats, and experience the longest sunsets—then we recommend sending us an email with a bit about yourself and why you’d like to be part of the Himmelblå team!

What do we expect from you??
What will YOU contribute?
We try to tailor volunteer work based on your interests, wishes, and experience, but possible tasks at Himmelblå Brygge include:

Serving food and drinks

Opening and closing routines

Tourist information
-
Guiding
-
Kayak rentals
-
Social media marketing

Organizing activities for volunteers

Hosting events in the restaurant

Building maintenance

Herb gardening and cultivation
Volunteering isn’t for everyone. We’re looking for people who are willing to put in extra effort when needed. Some days are busier than others, and you should be prepared for longer working days at times. That said, we balance the total workload over the week and make sure you get enough time off during quieter periods.

Your stay
The length of your stay may vary, but a minimum of 2–3 weeks is preferred. You’ll agree with us in advance on when you’re available.
Three weeks allows us to get to know each other and helps you settle in. If you’d like to stay longer, that’s absolutely possible as long as we have available accommodation.
We’re looking for people of all ages, but preferably you should be at least 18 years old.
It’s a plus if you have experience or interest in:

About Ylvingen and Himmelblå Brygge
Ylvingen is an idyllic island on the beautiful Helgeland coast, with Vega to the west and Brønnøysund to the east.
Himmelblå Brygge shares its location with SeilNorge, which organizes some of the most spectacular sailing experiences in Norway—year-round. Interest in tourism along the Helgeland coast is growing rapidly, and for good reason. Himmelblå Brygge has many exciting plans for the years ahead.
During the summer seasons, we serve great food and drinks, offer accommodation, host exciting events, arrange daily sailing trips, rent out kayaks, provide dock space for visiting boats, grow our own herbs, brew our own beer, organize excursions, and host various events.
