Head Chef – Are you our new chef?
Location: Ylvingen (Island, Norway)
Season: June 01– August 20, 2026
Application deadline: Rolling
We are looking for an engaged and dedicated Head Chef who values local ingredients, quality, and meaningful food experiences.
Accommodation and meals are included.
Competitive salary for the right candidate.
As our Head Chef, you will have overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations. You will work independently, supported by kitchen assistants when needed.
The way we run service will be shaped together with you. We are flexible and open to adapting both structure and workflow in collaboration with the right person.
You will have real influence on the menu, with the freedom to create and adapt dishes based on your own style—within our focus on quality and local ingredients.
This role requires both independence and collaboration. You will meet and work with a variety of people throughout your day, so good communication skills—at least in English—are important.
About us
Himmelblå Brygge is an idyllic and lively place, where the rhythm of the days shifts naturally. Some days are calm and allow for focus and creativity, while others are more social and energetic.
We are an adventurous group—seafarers, pirates, landlubbers, Sámi, city people, and countryside folk—working together to build something special.
Himmelblaa Brygge is a project going through an exciting new phase of development, this is an opportunity to be a part of that and create your idea of a destination restaurant.
This is not a finished concept, but a place in growth.
The people who join us help define what it becomes—through the food, the atmosphere, and the experiences we create together.
For us, this is about more than hospitality.
It’s about creating a place where it feels good to be, to work, and to create—close to the ocean, nature, and each other.
